Awards

The C. B. Sawyer Memorial Award is to recognize entrepreneurship or leadership in the frequency control community; or outstanding contributions in the development, production or characterization of resonator materials or structures.

The 2014 C.B. Sawyer Awardee is Dr. Ulrich Rohde;

“For the development of PC software now allowing nonlinear noise analysis of RF circuit and the founding of Synergy Microwave, including the design and manufacture of ultra-low noise sources, RF components and subsystems exhibiting state-of-the-art performance”

The W. G. Cady Award is to recognize outstanding contributions related to the fields of piezoelectric or other classical frequency control, selection and measurement; and resonant sensor devices.

The 2014 W.G. Cady Awardee is Dr. Michael Tobar;

“For the development of high-Q resonators and low-noise devices with application to frequency control, precision measurement and sensing.”

The I. I. Rabi Award is to recognize outstanding contributions related to the fields of atomic and molecular frequency standards, and time transfer and dissemination.

The 2014 I.I. Rabi Awardee is Dr. Harald Telle

“For most significant contributions to high precision frequency control and measurements, in particular  to optical frequency chains, the invention of the phase-coherent optical frequency interval division technique and early groundwork and demonstration of optical frequency combs and their use for frequency synthesis.”
